What does Copy QA compare?
It compares the approved DOCX with the live page: headings (H1, H2), paragraphs, lists, the title tag, the meta description, link text and URLs (including broken links) and image alt text. Each item is marked pass, review or fail, with the differences highlighted.
Do I have to enter the page URL?
Only if the document does not include it. When the DOCX has a "Page URL:" line, Copy QA reads it and starts the review on its own.
What happens to old copy kept at the bottom of the doc?
It is skipped. A line such as "Old copy", "Backup" or "[Copy Backup]" marks where the old copy starts, and nothing after it is checked or cleaned.
How large can the document be?
Up to 50 MB. Images embedded in the DOCX are swapped for tiny placeholders in your browser before upload, so even screenshot-heavy docs upload quickly and image alt text is still checked.
What does Take Backup save?
For up to 10 pages at a time: the page URL, title tag, meta description and H1, plus the copy between the header and footer as clean HTML, without menus, product grids or pop-ups. Download each page or all pages as Word, text or HTML.
How do I compare two versions of HTML?
Open HTML Diff and paste the original and updated HTML, or enter two live URLs. It shows added, removed and changed lines side by side, element and attribute changes, and SEO differences such as the title tag, meta description, canonical, headings and links. Pasted HTML is compared in your browser and never uploaded.
Does it work with my store or CMS?
It works with any public page and has presets for BigCommerce, Shopify and WordPress that skip product grids, filters and navigation. All tools are free and need no sign-up.
